Disneyland

We decided to take advantage of the free admission on your birthday at Disneyland so we took my mom there for her birthday. She had been talking about it for the longest time and I know she enjoys going with the kids. We spent the whole day there and went from one park to the other. Now anyone that knows Ashly and roller coasters, knows that they don't mix....until now! She rode, Space Mountain, California Screamin', Tower of Terror and loved all of them!!! At the end of the night she was riding them with her hands in the air!

Tower of Terror, pictured in the front row on the left (Me, Ashly, my mom and Andrew)

Its been how long???

After seeing that I hadn't posted anything new in 3 months I felt obligated to post some news about us. Anyway here goes.....

Lets start with Halloween!

I always enjoy carving the pumpkins with the kids, this year I decided not to help but watch as they carved their pumpkins by themselves! Andrew used a stencil and made a ghoul, actually turned out looking real good. Ashly on the other hand went with a custom traditional face pumpkin. If you look closely you can even see that she made hair for it!

Ashly wore my kimono from back when I was little. It was a gift from a relative in Japan, so this was a special deal when I let Ashly use it for Halloween. She had a Japanese umbrella and my real kimono and she looked so cute!!!

Andrew is getting to the age where he almost doesnt want to dress up anymore. So being the sad mom that doesnt want to see her son grow out of the "kid" things I managed to talk him into dressing up. First he wanted to be a mobster and then he found it, the one costume that made him want to dress up! He was "Chuckie"!

Since Aubrey (my cutie niece) is still little and doesnt understand it is fake, she didnt take too kindly to Andrews costume so we had to put Andrew in the back of the picture and have him sneak his mask on for a quick picture. (Also see below for picture)

We've Moved!!!!

Unfortunate events unfolded this past month, in turn leaving George and I to find a place to move to. I guess we were in the right place at the right time to find our current place. The kids love it, we have tons of room and the best part, they each have their own rooms!!! It is a 3 bedroom, 1.75 bath with a 2 car garage (Georges favorite) and 1800 square feet! If you haven't seen it yet you should come by! We love to have visitors! Maybe we will see you soon?!?!?

Aunties Aubrey Jade

Our niece is the most adorable little munchkin. She will be turning 18 months in a few days, but she is such a cute and smiley baby that it makes me love her even more! Since Aubrey has so many people (Auntie mostly) taking pictures of her her mommy has taught her to smile when she sees the camera. If you ask her nicely to give you her BIG smile....well look at the pictures, you will see what I mean.....tell me that you wouldnt fall in love with her little face!
The kids started school this week. Andrew and Ashly were really excited that they got to return to the school that we moved them from when we moved to Corona. Andrew is now in the fifth grade and Ashly is in fourth. Their friends are glad that they are back. Here are a few pictures from their first day of school. Sorry if Andrew doesn't look to excited he says he is getting too old to be taking these pictures! =)

Weekend get a way with the kids

George went away for the weekend, so the kids and I decided to have some fun time together....I decided to take them to Legoland. We arrived at the resort on Saturday a little early but they were nice enough to let us use the facilities. On site they had a huge pool, spa and water park, game room with air hockey, ping pong and fooseball, and they also had a arcade. They also had daily activities, Tie Dying, DJ at the pool with hula hoop contest, which of course Ashly participated in, and a small carnival. The kids had a long eventful day. So when it was time to turn in we went to bed with no problems, they were exhausted!!!

Ashly and Andrew tried the water balloon toss.

Ashly got her face painted, it was humidity and hot later that day it started to melt off of her face. =)

Ashly and I tie dyed this cute canvas bad, she was so excited that it turned out looking awesome!!! Everyone else asked us to help them make theirs, I guess we did a good job!

Ashly trying the bean bag toss, they called it the potty toss, they had a toilet seat set up and the kids had to try to toss the bean bags in the toilet! =)

Here is Andrew trying his luck with the basketball game. He did rather well and won a lot of tickets on this game.

Friendly game of air hockey, Ashly and Andrew got along the whole weekend!!!

When we woke up we prepared ourselves for a full day at Legoland!!!

The kids were really excited when they learned that they could drive Lego vehicles on their own with no tracks. They did rather well, the park had it set up like a little community with stop signs and signals, they had to obey the lights and not break any laws. It was a good experience for them. After they got done they got their drivers license!

Ever since Andrew was little he has always wanted to go to Legoland. Well we finally made it down there and had a blast!!!We couldn't have asked for a more better day, the weather was perfect and it was big smiles all day!

Bubbles.....

My mom got Andrew and Ashly some bubbles for Easter and until today they had been sitting in the garage, they forgot that they had them. So Ashly opened hers and enjoyed blowing some soapy bubbles in the front yard.

Our New Friend

His name is "Scales" since he does a lot of scaling the walls of the house. He has been here since the day we moved in and he always hides in the same spot when he sees someone. So the kids named him and we notice him as a part of the family!

Locks Of Love

Ashly decided that she wanted a new look, so she asked if she could cut her hair short. Since it was really long I suggested that we donate it to the "Locks Of Love". She asked what that was and I told her, she didn't hesitate to agree that it was a great idea! So here are a few pictures from her experience

So what do you think???

Summer Fun

The kids have been so hot since the weather out here has risen above 100 so we decided to get the pool out and let them go play. They were having fun, just the two of them. George and I were watching a movie, the movie ended and I went out to see how they were doing and yes you guessed it they bombarded me with the water soakers. So we had a water fight, the kids and I. It was fun, and refreshing at the same time. I soaked Ashly, Ashly soaked Andrew and Andrew soaked me and we just kept the water flying!!! It was tons of fun! Since I was in the water fight I obviously didn't want to get my camera wet so I don't have pictures of the actual fight but I do have some "pre-water fight" pictures.

My First Post....

I am proud to say that I am AGAIN a happy Auntie!!! My girlfriend Marissa gave birth to Aurora Mae Oswald on July 3rd. She was 5lbs 4oz and was 18.5" long. She was born with a full head of hair and since she was born at 36 weeks she was much smaller than most babies. She is eating about an ounce of formula and is doing well! Welcome Aurora!!!

Just the Beginning

So here is a new addition to the craziness in my life. I will try to post updates here and new pictures. Hope that you enjoy!
